Poor knights, lucky us! Let’s have a snack!

Luna had her third set of vaccines yesterday and have been a bit poorly and not too keen on food (or she just didn’t like what I cooked yesterday – which is the same we had for lunch today). Therefore I decided to make a treat for her and Luca for their afternoon snack –  “Fattiga riddare”, or “poor knights”. It’s basically eggy bread, serve with a little sugar and cinnamon and a glass of milk.

You need:

1 dl of milk (a little bit more if you have a large egg)

1 egg

Sliced bread (today I had a big egg, that was enough for five slices of bread. Yay!! Some for me too!)

How to:

Mix together the milk and egg. Cut off the crust from the bread. Dip the bread slices one by one, both sides. Melt some butter and cook on medium heat until golden brown.

Serve with a little sugar and cinnamon. Enjoy!

  1. And about not eating. A. spit out my Chicken yellow coconut curry, and honestly it wasn’t my best creation, so ended up picking out the chicken (yes she would eat that) and having a big yoghurt banana desert to get some food in before going to bed.
